Painting Wellsburg’s – Ohio River Story
Over the past several weeks, I’ve been spending my days in Wellsburg, West Virginia, working on a large-scale historical mural that celebrates the town’s connection to the Ohio River. This includes the town’s historical way of life, the industrial heritage that helped shape the Ohio Valley, and a small church covered by the American flag. A bridge and retail stores are also being painted. The painting also includes a monogram like element and logos for the commissioners of the project.
It’s been fun work and I have really enjoyed painting in this area of the Ohio River in the early summer. I have nothing but good things to say about the experience here. When people are excited about a mural and take pride in what’s being created, it makes the work even more meaningful and inspires me to give the project my very best.
Thanks for the encouragement and I’m ready to get this mural through the last stages of painting and seal it for many years to come.
